In a raw and emotional interview that has set social media ablaze, gospel singer Rozinah Mwakideu has opened up about her short-lived marriage to flamboyant pastor and motivational speaker Robert Burale, describing it as “the biggest mistake of my life.”
Speaking to her brother, radio host Alex Mwakideu, Rozinah held nothing back as she detailed how her union was marred by deception, emotional distance, and unanswered questions.
She claimed that during their honeymoon in South Africa, the couple “never got intimate not even once,” calling it the first red flag that something was deeply wrong.
Her most shocking revelation, however, was discovering disturbing content on Burale’s phone soon after they returned home.
“I saw gay pornography on his phone. I was shaken to the core,” she said, describing how the discovery left her confused and heartbroken.
Rozinah said they lived together for nearly a month without any form of intimacy, describing her marriage as “a web of red flags and conmanship.”
She maintained that she has since healed and moved on but admitted the experience remains her “biggest regret,” even at 50.
Burale, on the other hand, has remained composed and diplomatic, telling Alex in an earlier interview that their marriage simply “did not work out,” denying any violence or infidelity.
The story spiraled further when the Atheists in Kenya Society publicly defended Burale, praising him as a reformed man of faith — an irony that left many stunned.Meanwhile, Bishop David Muriithi of House of Grace also came to Burale’s defense, urging the public not to judge him by his past but to see him as “a testimony of redemption.”The saga has since reignited conversations on faith, fame, and the fine line between personal truth and public exposure — a drama that Kenya clearly can’t stop watching.
