Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Secretary General Edwin Sifuna visited the Odinga family home to pay his respects to Mama Dr. Ida Odinga following the passing of her husband, Raila Amolo Odinga, who died on 15th October 2025 at Devamatha Hospital in India.
The visit was deeply emotional and offered an opportunity for reflection on the late leader’s life and legacy.
In a heartfelt message, Sifuna thanked Mama Ida for welcoming him into her home during such a difficult time. He described the visit as meaningful and moving, highlighting the courage and grace she has shown in continuing with her life despite the heavy loss.

Sifuna noted that entering the Odinga home after Baba’s passing was not easy, but the warmth and composure displayed by Mama Ida made the visit reflective and reassuring.
