Nyeri senatorial aspirant Nick Mararo recently took part in a special church service at AIPCA Chaka Church in Chaka Town. He went there as the representative of Jubilee Party Leader H.E Uhuru Kenyatta and the party’s Deputy Leader Dr. Fred Matiang’i.
The main reason for the gathering was a fundraiser to help build a new cathedral in the town. The African Independent Pentecostal Church of Africa has played an important role in many Kenyan communities for a long time.

At this service, members of the church and local people came together to support the construction project. Building a cathedral is a big step for any community. It creates a larger and stronger place where people can come together to worship, pray, and share important moments in life.
Such a building can last for many years and serve not just the people living there now, but also their children and grandchildren in the future.
During the event, there was a strong feeling of togetherness. People showed their faith by giving what they could to the project. It was clear that everyone understood the value of working as one to achieve something good for the whole area.

Nick Mararo noted how encouraging it was to see this kind of unity and hard work. He said it was good to watch people put their efforts into something that would benefit generations to come.
The reception he received from the church members was warm and welcoming. Many people appreciated that he had come to stand in for the Jubilee Party leaders.
They showed commitment to the cathedral project and to the values of faith and community service.
He felt grateful for the way the faithful opened their hearts and demonstrated their dedication.

This kind of event is common in many parts of Kenya, where churches often serve as more than just places for Sunday services. They become centres for development, support, and bringing people from different backgrounds together.
In Chaka Town, the fundraiser for the cathedral is one example of how local communities take charge of their own growth. The money raised will go towards materials, labour, and other needs to make the new building a reality.

Nick Mararo has been active in community matters, and his presence at the AIPCA Chaka Church event reflects a focus on listening to the needs of ordinary people even as he is seeking the Nyeri senatorial bid.
Many who attended or heard about the service praised his involvement. Some described him as a leader who cares about the youth and the wider community.
Others offered prayers and words of encouragement, calling him a man with a big heart and someone who is on the right path.
The Jubilee Party, through its leaders Uhuru Kenyatta and Dr. Fred Matiang’i, continues to show interest in issues that touch the lives of Kenyans at the grassroots level. Supporting church projects like this cathedral in Chaka Town is one way of standing with communities as they work to improve their surroundings. Faith-based initiatives often succeed because they bring people together around shared beliefs and common goals.
