Among those who were believed to have been abducted but later found alive were Billy Mwangi, Peter Muteti, Benard Kavuli, cartoonist Kibet Bull, and his brother Ronny Kiplagat.
These youths were discovered abandoned in various regions across the country, sparking further concern regarding the safety and rights of individuals who express dissent on social media.
Addressing the issue, Ruto strongly warned against engaging in harmful online behavior, urging young people to refrain from being enticed by small amounts of money to participate in spreading negative content.
He cautioned that such actions, while seemingly harmless, could have long-term consequences that escalate into violence and even societal breakdown.
