The woman whose private video has been widely shared online has finally spoken out about what happened to her. She has explained that the video was taken without her permission while she was in a club.
The lady, identified as Marion Naipei from Kajiado County, met with Geoffrey Mosiria and gave her side of the story.
Naipei said the man who recorded her, identified as James Opande, has disappeared since the issue became public.
She believes he went into hiding after realizing the matter had attracted national attention. She explained that on the day of the incident, she was very drunk and not fully aware of what was going on around her.
According to her, Opande was the one who bought her the drinks, and he took advantage of her condition.
She stated that she never agreed to be recorded and only later realized what had happened after the video started circulating online. Naipei has asked Opande to stop hiding and take responsibility for his actions.
She also revealed that he has been sending friends to her to offer money so the matter can be dropped, something she has refused.
Naipei said she deeply regrets ever meeting him and wishes the incident had never happened. She shared that the situation has left her emotionally hurt and traumatized. Because of the shame and pressure, she was forced to remove her child from school.
She also admitted that the experience has affected her mental health badly, saying she has been overwhelmed by stress and dark thoughts. Naipei asked Kenyans and her family to forgive her as she continues to seek justice and healing from the painful experience.
