Government alleges how Kenyans are undermining Ruto’s image globally and sabotaging Raila AUC bid

According to the statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Affairs, under President William Samoei Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza administration, has spoken out against a group of Kenyans using social media to make the government appear illegitimate.

In a statement released to the press, the Ministry accused a number of social media influencers of spreading false information and creating a negative image of the national government on the international stage.

The Ministry urged those involved to stop their actions, claiming that the concerns raised by Kenyans have already been addressed by the government.

According to the Ministry’s statement, the activities, which were initially driven by younger Kenyans known as Gen Zs, have now evolved into coordinated cyber-attacks led by a few social media influencers.

These influencers, the Ministry claims, are trying to undermine the government’s efforts, discourage important international visits to Kenya, and harm the chances of Kenyan candidates for regional and international positions.

The statement pointed out that such actions are aimed at delegitimizing government initiatives and spreading propaganda.

The Ministry reassured the international community that the Kenyan government has already taken steps to resolve the issues raised by its citizens.

It highlighted the formation of a broad-based government that includes individuals from various political backgrounds.

This, the Ministry emphasized, shows the government’s commitment to unity and addressing the concerns of all Kenyans.

The government also responded to public dissatisfaction by withdrawing the controversial Finance Bill, which had sparked nationwide protests.

In place of the original bill, a new and more tax-friendly mechanism was introduced, one that the government believes is better suited to the needs of the people.

The Ministry also made it clear that the safety and protection of all individuals in Kenya remains a top priority for the government.

This assurance was aimed at calming concerns over incidents such as abductions, which have raised alarm among both local and international communities.

This statement from the Ministry comes after reports that a large number of Kenyans sent emails to the Dutch royal family, urging them not to visit Kenya due to the ongoing political situation in the country.

The emails also cited concerns about issues such as abductions, which have become a point of contention in the current climate.

The Ministry’s response aims to counter these negative perceptions and reassure both the public and the international community of the government’s commitment to resolving the country’s issues.
