Comedian Sammy Kioko declares bid for Mavoko parliamentary seat

Comedian Sammy Kioko has taken a new step in his public life by declaring his intention to run for the Mavoko parliamentary seat in the 2027 general election.

The announcement came on Friday, September 11, 2026, during a formal event where he stood before supporters, friends, family and members of the community to make his plans clear.

Kioko said he approached the decision with humility, gratitude and a strong sense of responsibility. He explained that the choice grew out of time spent listening to people in Mavoko and sharing their daily experiences.

“On this day, September 11, 2026, I stand before you with a lot of humility, gratitude and a big sense of responsibility,” he told the gathering.

He added that he had walked alongside the residents and now felt ready for the next stage.

“I have listened, I have walked with you and I am ready to take the next step. I, Sammy Kioko, officially declare my candidature for the Member of Parliament, Mavoko Constituency.”

The comedian also introduced his campaign slogan, “Mbele Pazuri,” which became a central part of the launch.
