It has come to our attention that a fraudulent document purporting to be an official communication from Bolt Kenya is currently circulating on social media and messaging platforms.
The document falsely claims that Bolt will cease operations in the Kenyan market effective 8th June 2026.
We wish to categorically state that this document is fake and did not originate from Bolt Kenya or any of its authorised representatives.
Bolt Kenya remains fully operational and committed to serving its driver-partners and customers across the country.
The company says it is investigating the source of the fabricated document and will take appropriate action against those responsible for creating and spreading misleading information that misrepresents the company.
Bolt also reassured its community that it continues to operate normally in Kenya and remains focused on providing safe, reliable and innovative services while creating economic opportunities across the country.
The company urged driver-partners, customers and members of the public to ignore the circulating document, avoid sharing the misinformation, and rely only on official communications through its verified channels, including its website, verified social media accounts and the Bolt app.
For accurate information and official company updates, stakeholders have been advised to follow Bolt’s verified channels and contact the communications team directly for clarification.
