Alvin Otieno (born 19 April 1994) is a Kenyan rugby sevens player who represents Kenya internationally.He made his Olympic debut representing Kenya at the 2020 Summer Olympics.
Alvin made his Kenya 7s debut in Hong Kong 7s 2016.
Buffa was part of the Kenya7s team that won Singapore 7s cup final
He was named in the Kenyan squad for the men’s rugby sevens tournament at the 2020 Summer Olympics.
He went to Kakamega high school and is known by his nickname Buffa.
He plays winger in 15s and forward in 7s
He says the disappointment of missing the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro has motivated him to work harder with a view to competing at the 2020 Games in Tokyo.
“It was very painful for me because I had worked very hard and I wanted to make the team but unfortunately, I was not selected. The pain of missing the Olympics has spurred me on to work. It is somewhat tough because the old boys are back in the team but I am hoping for the best. It will be a dream come true to make it to the Olympics.”

Andrew Amonde captains the Shujaa and is one of four survivors from the squad that was on duty at the Rio Olympics in 2016 where they finished 11th overall.
Also returning for their second Olympic appearances are Kenya’s record try-scorer on the World Series Collins Injera, Billy Odhiambo and Willy Ambaka.
