Herman Manyora, a seasoned political analyst, has sparked controversy with his recent comments on his YouTube channel about former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s secret card in the 2027 general election.
Manyora suggests that Uhuru may be grooming his former Interior Cabinet Secretary, Fred Matiang’i, to challenge President William Ruto in the upcoming elections.
This speculation has added a new dimension to the already heated political landscape as different camps prepare for the high-stakes battle ahead.Until Azimio emerged, there were rumors that former Health CS Mutahi Kagwe would be Matiang’i’s running mate.
However, Manyora now believes that Uhuru Kenyatta could take a different approach. He claims that Matiang’i’s reputation has been boosted, especially after recent protests, where his name appeared among the most qualified candidates to replace Ruto.
This recognition, Manyora argues, could make Matiang’i a serious contender in 2027, giving him a strong platform to rally opposition against Ruto’s administration.
What makes Manyora’s argument even more intriguing is his suggestion that Uhuru Kenyatta might push his own son, Muhoho Kenyatta, as Matiang’i’s running mate.
