Law Society of Kenya President (LSK) Nelson Havi and his business partner Njeri Thorne on Tuesday night September 8 engaged in a classic cat fight on Twitter, airing each other’s dirty laundry.

It all began with a comment Njeri made following the dramatic arrest of Emurua Dikirr MP Johanna Nge’no on Monday September 7, where she likened his suffering to wishing it was Havi.

Her sentiments quickly ignited a war of words, with Havi and Njeri levelling accusations towards each other of sabotaging each others business, sending the entire app into a frenzy!

Havi questioned Njeri’s job alluding that she has nothing to do and is merely a busy body focused on making noise and clout chasing.

“But we need people like me with a first-class, and masters, and money working for Kenyans. Not cheapskates like you who can be paid off to turn against the common good of the people in a bid to catch up with us. How much did Ahmed Nasir pay you again?” Njeri rebutted.

Their catfight landed them on both the first and second most trending topics on Twitter as of Wednesday morning September 9.

Njeri disclosed that Havi sabotaged their business by using company funds to settle bills for his other women who apparently checked in at different high-end hotels.

Consequently, Havi accused Njeri of failing to settle outstanding bills by issuing dishonored cheques.

Last week, Njeri had claimed that the LSK president was in an “entanglement” with two other lawyers.

Havi’s office is held with high regard and is expected to serve as a representation of service to Kenyans through fighting for their basic rights and aiding in administering justice.

Njeri Thorne is not a new name to the lips of Kenyans. She on August 13 targeted lawyer Ahmednasir Abudllahi through a series of tweets that became  the subject matter of a then ongoing defamation case before the High Court in Nairobi.

Through advocate Ombati Omwanzia, Ahemednasir sued the communications consultant for making false publications with the sole purpose of injuring his reputation.

“The offending publications were calculated to disparage the trade, profession and business being carried on by the Plaintiff,” he revealed at the time.

Justice Mbogholi Msagha certified the case as urgent and barred Thorne, whose Twitter handle has more than 28,000 followers as of September 9, to cease making more posts about Abdullahi, pending the hearing of the case on August 25.

“Based on the material presented, there are compelling reasons to grant interim orders in terms of prayers B and C of the application to last for 14 days from August 12, 2020,” the Judge ordered.
