The National Treasury has vowed to monitor payment of pending bills by County Governments owed to suppliers .

As well as statutory dues to foster economic growth in the Counties.

 Further, National Treasury Cabinet Secretary(CS) Ambassador Ukur Yatani has confirmed the weighing of future transfers by Counties to the private sector.

 To increase economic activities as part of the Government’s inclusive economic recovery program.

The CS further confirms the disbursement of kes 43.5 billion to Counties for clearance of April 2021 dues.

The National Treasury and Planning will continue to prioritize and progressively clear dues for May 2021 and June 2021

Yatani said.

Additionally, the CS confirmed the improved performance of the economy, particularly revenue collection.
