Treasury Jobs for sale? PS Kiptoo fingered over alleged hefty bribe to offer Kefa Seda top job

Kefa Seda is facing serious allegations of bribery and abuse of office linked to his bid for a top job at the National Treasury. Reports indicate that he paid a massive bribe to Principal Secretary Chris Kiptoo to secure the position, raising questions about how public appointments are being influenced by money rather than merit.

This case has drawn attention due to the high-level corruption involved and the alleged manipulation of key government processes.

It is said that Kefa Seda, who has been working with the Kenya National Highways Authority (KENHA), sought to buy his way into the role of Director General of Public-Private Partnerships (PPP).

He allegedly funneled a massive amount of money to Chris Kiptoo to ensure that he would be selected over other candidates.

This transaction reportedly took place in Eldoret, and sources suggest that it was carefully coordinated to avoid detection.

The entire recruitment process appears to have been manipulated to favor Kefa Seda, sidelining other potential candidates who may have been more qualified for the job.

The situation becomes even murkier with claims that both Kefa Seda and Chris Kiptoo have been involved in deals with foreign investors, particularly from China, Turkey, and Gulf nations.

These investors are said to have paid large sums of money in exchange for influence over the privatization of state-owned enterprises.

This raises concerns about the integrity of the country’s public institutions and how top government officials are compromising Kenya’s economic future for personal gain.

There are also allegations that Kefa Seda played a role in blocking a French company from participating in a major infrastructure project at Mau Summit.

It is believed that he was paid off to favor other bidders, further demonstrating how financial incentives dictate public projects instead of fair competition.

Additionally, he is said to have used his influence to silence those opposing his moves by manipulating legal and investigative bodies to protect himself and eliminate any threats.

The matter has now reached the attention of a non-governmental organization that is pushing for legal action.

This NGO is planning to challenge the appointment process in court and demand a lifestyle audit on Kefa Seda.

They are also calling for an investigation into his activities at both the Treasury and KENHA, citing concerns about how he has used his position for personal enrichment.

A petition has already been sent to the President urging him to block the appointment and take action against those involved in the scandal.

This issue also highlights how Chris Kiptoo has allegedly turned government appointments into a business. Chris Kiruga was reportedly removed from the position and sent abroad as an ambassador, creating an opportunity for Kiptoo to sell the job to the highest bidder.

Kefa Seda is now the beneficiary of this corrupt system, exposing the rot within key government offices.

Security agencies and oversight bodies have expressed concerns about how these actions have undermined the credibility of public appointments and compromised the integrity of state institutions.

It remains to be seen whether authorities will take decisive action to address these serious allegations.
