A recent online poll has shown the leading choices among voters for the Karachuonyo parliamentary seat in the 2027 elections.
The survey, conducted by Mwelekeo Insights, gives a clear picture of current public opinion in the area.
Current Poll Results
Seth Okute from ODM received the highest support with 49.5 percent of the votes.
This places him in a strong position as the front-runner according to the poll. Felix Obuya, running as an independent candidate, came in second with 19.5 percent.
Sam Ogutu from ODM followed with 9.8 percent of the votes.
Fred Makajos, also from ODM, got 5.6 percent. Hannington Day from ODM received 4.5 percent.
Ramadhan Odhiambo from UDA secured 3.8 percent of the votes.
Adipo Okuome from ODM had 2.2 percent.
Jeff Ongoro from ODM got 2 percent. Collins Okendi from UDA received 1.8 percent.
Kennedy Obuya, an independent, had 0.8 percent, while Carilus Ademba from ODM closed the list with 0.5 percent.
These numbers show a divided field, with many candidates from the ODM party competing against each other and a few from other parties or as independents.
The poll reflects opinions at this early stage, and much can change before the actual elections.
What the Results Mean
The strong showing by Seth Okute suggests that a large part of the respondents see him as a good choice for the seat. His lead is clear, but the combined support for other candidates shows there is still competition.
Independent candidates like Felix Obuya and Kennedy Obuya managed to get some attention, proving that party affiliation is not the only factor voters consider.
Many ODM candidates appear in the list, which may point to internal party dynamics in the constituency. Voters seem to be weighing different options within the same party. UDA candidates also received some support, though smaller.
The poll highlights the importance of local issues and personal appeal in Karachuonyo.
People often look at such surveys to understand trends. However, online polls like this one capture views from those who choose to participate.
They provide useful information but may not fully represent every voter in the area.
