Today has been one dramatic day, first it was Duale’s firing which brought about mixed reactions and barely has the day ended than the ODPP slaps the country with a surprise attack with news of Sirisia MP John Waluke being found guilty over corruption allegations along side the mother of ambassador Judy Wakhungu, Grace Sarapay Wakhungu together with Eras Supplies and General contracts Limited.

John Waluke and his counterparts have been found guilty of Ksh. 297m maize fraud case in which the ODPP has reported to have taken less than 2 years to conclude and is among the first cases approved for prosecution by DPP Noordin Haji upon taking office in April 2018.

The case is set for hearing on Thursday, 25th of June. Kenyans on tweeter have reacted to the news with different reactions, although they all seem to agree with satisfaction with the ODPP for finding the named individuals guilty of corruption. Some have come to point out that this could be another axe for those who have aligned themselves with deputy president William Ruto’s tangatanga team. The response has led to a section of Kenyans pointing out the alleged sanitization of Anne Waiguru whom the public point out would want a fair ruling over corruption allegations as presented by the Kirinyaga MCAs. For some the case of John Waluke is a political game being played to crucify those who are against the government.

As much as the charges have sparked a debate of social media, a good number of Kenyans have congratulated the ODPP for a great job in exposing those who are dragging the country behind by being corrupt, a major theme ailing the country.

A section of Kenyans have expressed their satisfaction claiming they would be more satisfied if the other corruption allegation charges follows suit citing that the Sirisia MP will serve as a good example to others as they await for the court hearing on Thursday.
