Are you chuckling and shaking your head cynically as you read this? Well, I do not blame you and I can tell you for free that September will pass in a blur of obscurity; so don’t hold your breath, gentlemen.
Ladies have you ever asked a guy out on a date? Irrespective of whether you guys were dating or not.
Since time immemorial the guy goes after the woman he wants not vice versa. That’s how my greatparents,my grandparents and my parents did it.This is one among the many reasons women give for not doing so. “That’s just how society works”,they say even if they have fallen hard for this guy at their workplace. “I’m just bidding my time he’ll eventually notice my gorgeous smile,he’ll propose,i already see our beautiful babies playing with snow balls outside our home.” This is the type of talk that has me and Melissa deciding that it’s time to hit the pause button on Telemundo.
The last time i brought up the topic of women asking men out I was at my friend’s place. Denise almost choked, she uttered firmly that under no circumstances would she ever do that. Where I lie? I’m flexible. The worst thing that a guy could do is decline your offer. That would definitely crash ones spirit no kidding.
How do you ask a man out? How do you make a move on that guy you’ve been eyeing for years?
There isn’t any strategy to asking a man out. There shouldn’t be beating about the bush. If you want to take a man on a date; ask. Shoot your shot directly. Don’t insinuate. Time and again men have proven how bad they are at picking up hints. Be direct.
“Hey Frank it’s pretty cold, you mind grabbing coffee later in the day?”
“There’s a new restaurant that has opened downtown, you mind grabbing a bite later?
You could use the cheesy pickup lines too. Something like,”Can you take me to the doctor? Because I just broke my leg falling for you.”. There must be something wrong with my eyes, I can’t take them off you.”,”I’d say God Bless you, but it looks like he already did.”
Assume he’s said yes, where do you take him? What will you guys be doing there?
My top 5 places for the perfect date include,
4.Park-it would be perfect for picnic(s)
5. Museum -if either of you likes artefacts and all.
Contrary to popular belief, you don’t even necessarily need to leave the cozy comfort of your hearthstone to do something sweet with your partner. Make it simple and romantic at the same time by being creative.
Here are a few activities you should consider doing with your partner.
1.Go on a hike
3.Take a virtual tour of somewhere around the globe.
6.Go to an art gallery.
7.Meet for brunch or dinner.
8. Do Kareoke
9. Binge watch together.
10. Explore your town like tourists.
Those are but a few date ideas, pick your poison. I think I’ll settle on the art gallery thing.
