Security concern in Homa Bay after mutilated body of a woman is found dumped on a hill

As reported by Tuko news, residents of Kamayonge village in Kamasengre East, Suna North Constituency were left in shock when the body of a woman was discovered near Kiare Hills.

This horrifying discovery has raised serious concerns about the safety and security of the area.

The woman’s body was found in a deplorable state, showing clear signs of violence.

Authorities suspect that she was murdered, with her body burned using a car battery before being dumped near the hills.

The body was found naked, placed upside down, with her left leg severed, and her face disfigured.

These disturbing details have led to fears that this was not just a random act of violence but possibly a targeted attack.

Human rights defender Sheila Odhiambo, who arrived at the scene early, confirmed the signs of foul play.

According to Odhiambo, the body appeared to have been freshly murdered, with clear signs of mutilation.

“The woman could have been murdered last night since the body was still looking fresh but mutilated,” she said, expressing concern over the brutality of the act.

This discovery comes just a month after another body of a woman was found in the same area, showing similar signs of violence.

The previous victim’s body had been burned with acid, leaving many residents worried about the safety of women in the region.

Both incidents have sparked fears among the local community, who now question the security of their village.

The repeated occurrence of such violence in the same area has left many feeling vulnerable and helples

In response to the situation, local authorities have pledged to investigate the murders.

Deputy County Commissioner Peter Mutiso confirmed the incident and assured residents that the relevant authorities, including the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), have been engaged to look into the deaths and bring the perpetrators to justice.

“We have already engaged the DCI and they will soon begin the investigation into the matter.

The culprit will be brought to face the law,” Mutiso said.

Furthermore, Mutiso confirmed that authorities are investigating whether the two murders are connected, given that both bodies were discovered in the same area, though on different dates.

The link between the two incidents is still under investigation, but the similar circumstances surrounding the deaths have raised concerns that there may be a pattern emerging.

The residents of Kamayonge village are now calling for swift action from local security agencies to uncover the truth behind these shocking incidents.

They are desperate for justice and want to ensure that such crimes do not go unpunished.

The murders have shaken the community, and many are left wondering whether this is the beginning of a more widespread issue that could threaten their safety.
