“Scammers’ paradise!” Wamuchomba exposes Kenya’s corrupt healthcare system and shocking loan scandal

Gathoni Wamuchomba, the Member of Parliament for Githunguri Constituency, has once again exposed the rot in Kenya’s leadership. A fierce critic of President William Ruto’s administration, Wamuchomba has brought to light a shocking contradiction that has left many Kenyans outraged.

Infants, only a few days old, are being detained in hospitals over unpaid medical bills while government records list them as eligible for state loans.

This disturbing revelation, drawn from an Auditor General’s report, paints a clear picture of how corruption has infiltrated every sector of the country.

While the government claims to prioritize the well-being of its citizens, public resources continue to disappear into the hands of a few well-connected individuals. The healthcare system, already on its knees, is bearing the brunt of poor leadership and financial mismanagement. Medical workers have been raising concerns over poor working conditions, delayed payments, and unfair employment terms, but their cries have largely been ignored.

The Universal Health Coverage (UHC) program, which was meant to improve healthcare services, has become another avenue for exploitation. Thousands of healthcare workers under UHC remain in limbo, waiting for permanent employment, while billions meant for the sector disappear without a trace. As hospitals struggle with underfunding, Kenyans continue to suffer, with some unable to afford even the most basic medical services.

Despite these glaring issues, the political class remains preoccupied with meetings and power struggles instead of solving the problems facing ordinary citizens.

Cartels control government tenders, ensuring that money meant for healthcare, infrastructure, and social services never reaches its intended destination.

Corrupt networks are deeply embedded in government institutions, making it nearly impossible to hold anyone accountable. Public outrage is growing, but those in power appear unmoved, showing no willingness to change the situation.

Beyond healthcare, the country is also grappling with a rise in extrajudicial killings and politically motivated decisions that serve the interests of a few individuals.

Cases of police brutality, enforced disappearances, and political persecution have been swept under the rug as the government focuses on consolidating power. Kenyans are left wondering whether justice will ever be served or if they are simply at the mercy of a system that does not value their lives.

The revelations by Wamuchomba are not just about infants detained in hospitals; they are a reflection of a much bigger problem government institutions that have abandoned their duty to serve the people.

The continuous mismanagement of public funds, the disregard for basic human rights, and the prioritization of political interests over national welfare have pushed the country to the brink. Kenyans are growing tired of leaders who make empty promises while engaging in corruption behind closed doors.

The question remains, how long will the people tolerate this betrayal before demanding real change?
