Raila ally wants Haji, Mudavadi removed after Kenya’s AUC bid flops

Caleb Hamisi has raised important concerns about the role and performance of the National Intelligence Service (NIS) in Kenya.

According to him, the primary purpose of the NIS is to provide intelligence that helps safeguard the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity while supporting the achievement of national objectives.

This means the NIS is supposed to gather critical information, analyze potential threats, and offer insights that enable the government to make informed decisions to protect the nation and its people.

However, Caleb Hamisi strongly believes that in the recent AUC campaign, Noordin Haji, the director of the NIS, failed miserably in fulfilling this duty. This failure has not only damaged the credibility of the NIS but has also had serious consequences for the country.

The AUC campaign, which was meant to advance Kenya’s interests on the continental stage, turned into a disappointment due to poor planning, misinformation, and a lack of transparency.

Caleb Hamisi argues that Noordin Haji, who was expected to provide reliable intelligence and strategic guidance, fell short of expectations. His inability to deliver on his responsibilities has led to a loss that many believe could have been avoided.

This has caused widespread frustration among Kenyans, who feel let down by those entrusted with protecting the nation’s interests. Caleb Hamisi is particularly vocal in his criticism, stating that both Noordin Haji and Musalia Mudavadi should resign for their roles in this failure.

He believes that their actions, or lack thereof, have subjected former Prime minister Raila Odinga, often referred to as “Baba,” to an unfair loss that he did not deserve.

Caleb Hamisi’s call for accountability reflects a growing sentiment among Kenyans who are tired of seeing leaders fail to deliver on their promises. He emphasizes that Kenya needs a renaissance, a rebirth or renewal to move forward and achieve its full potential.

This renaissance, according to him, can only happen if leaders are held accountable for their actions and if institutions like the NIS are reformed to serve the people effectively.

The failure of the AUC campaign is just one example of how poor leadership and lack of integrity can hinder national progress. Caleb Hamisi’s message is clear, Kenya deserves better. The country needs leaders who are honest, transparent, and committed to serving the interests of the people.

Only then can Kenya truly safeguard its sovereignty, protect its territorial integrity, and achieve its national objectives. The time for change is now, and it starts with holding those in power accountable for their actions.
