Maurice Ogeta, the late Raila Odinga’s highly trained bodyguard, hosted visitors at his palatial home in Uyoma, Rarieda Constituency, on Monday, 15th.
The visit was a gathering of family and friends who came to offer their condolences following the death of his former boss, the late Raila Odinga.
Ogeta, who worked for Raila for more than 18 years, was among the last individuals to see the politician before he died.
In the wake of Raila’s passing, Ogeta appeared deeply affected, and many have observed the significant impact this loss has had on his life.
Visitors who paid a visit at his home today, included former Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria, George Wajackoyah, Nuru Okanga, and Principal Secretary Oluga, among others.
They were seen partaking in a substantial breakfast and sharing moments of support with Ogeta, offering solace during this period of mourning.

Footage shared online also provided a glimpse into Ogeta’s home, showcasing a cozy living room furnished with luxurious cream-colored seating and a large wall-mounted television.
Despite the opulence of his surroundings, a somber atmosphere highlighted the profound loss he continues to feel.
In recent days, Ogeta has maintained a low profile, marking a significant shift in his life after the death of his longtime superior.
Raila Odinga, who passed away on October 15 in India while receiving treatment, was laid to rest on October 19 at his ancestral home in Bondo following a state funeral attended by both national and international dignitaries.
The respected opposition leader succumbed to cardiac arrest at the age of 80.
