As all roads lead to Nanyuki on Sunday, all eyes will be on Orange Democratic Movemnt (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga about the message he will have for region residences.

According to ODM party, Odinga will tour Nanyuki region to lead a peaceful prayer for a region which has been rocked with banditry attacks in the recent past.

The prayer shall be held at PCEA Church in Nanyuki town.

On September, suspected bandits believed to be from Baringo County attacked Wangwaci Village in Laikipia West, where they shot dead a 65-year-old man identified as Charles Maina.

According to Githiga Ward MCA Peter Thomi, the bandits then stole 25 head of cattle.

This brings to nine the number of people killed in the last one month.

The incident took place as Governor Ndiritu Muriithi held a peace meeting in Ol Moran to unite the warring communities.

“This is very sad. We want to unite every community so that they can live peacefully. I have been engaging community elders to unite them for the last two weeks,”

said the governor.

Odinga has been touted as a man who puts the interest of Kenya before his own.

And it will not be the first time that Odinga would be visiting the Rift Valley block.

On September 23, Odinga joined Nakuru County residences where he attended a burial ceremony of a businessman and Mololine founder Mr. David Kibira Muchai.

Odinga was welcomed by Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui who said that the people of Nakuru would join his race to join State House in the forthcoming general elections.

“I have been voting for the past five terms, I have never voted for Baba and this time around my vote must go to Baba,” said Governor Kinyanjui.
