Kevin Migwe has come under strong criticism following the death of his wife, Rosemary Chemutai Kimwatu.
People close to the situation claim that his actions, together with those of her unnamed co-worker, created a painful environment that left her with little peace.
According to accounts shared online, Kevin spoke about his wife’s private weaknesses and personal matters to the co-worker. This woman, who worked alongside Rosemary, then used those details to insult and belittle her at the workplace.
At the same time, Kevin himself is said to have treated Rosemary poorly at home. The result was constant pressure from both sides at work during the day and at home in the evening.
The co-worker is described as someone Kevin turned to for comfort, while Rosemary was left feeling attacked and unsupported.
Sources say the pair continued this behaviour even as they marked Rosemary’s birthday together in public messages that appeared loving.
Behind the scenes, the insults and criticism did not stop. Rosemary, who earned a good salary of around 600,000 shillings, had children and a home she had helped build.
Yet the ongoing treatment from her husband and the co-worker is said to have pushed her to a point where she saw no way forward.
Many who have commented on the matter point out that Kevin chose to share private information about his wife with another woman instead of protecting her.
They question how a husband could allow, or take part in, the repeated humiliation of the mother of his children. The co-worker’s role is also highlighted—using workplace access and personal knowledge gained from Kevin to make Rosemary’s days harder.
Rosemary is now gone, and her family is left grieving. Those speaking out stress that the combination of home and workplace pressure left her isolated. Kevin and the unnamed co-worker are being held responsible by many for creating the conditions that led to her final decision.
Condolences continue to be offered to Rosemary’s children and relatives as questions remain about the choices made by the two people closest to her daily life.
