National Assembly Deputy Speaker Moses Cheboi has been involved in a grisly road crash that has also left a boda boda rider dead.
The accident occurred at Kamara area on the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway on Sunday afternoon.
Witnesses revealed that Cheboi’s car collided head on with an oncoming motorbike with photos shared online showing the Deputy Speaker’s Mercedes Benz mangled on the driver’s side.
The lawmaker reportedly suffered minor injuries.
The boda boda rider was carrying one passenger who was rushed to Molo Hospital where he was admitted after suffering multiple fractures.
Cheboi was driving himself when the accident happened at around 2:40 p.m. on Sunday as he was headed towards Molo.
The Deputy Speaker called for an ambulance that ferried him to Nairobi for further treatment following the grisly road accident.
The country has recorded a surge in the number of accidents since the lifting of cessation of movement in Nairobi and Mombasa and extension of the curfew.
Kabras East MCA Lazaro Luchebelili also collided with a boda boda rider on Friday night, September 25, at around 10 p.m.
