The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) is currently hunting down a notorious land fraudster, Isaac Macharia, who has been scamming land buyers in Kiambu County.
His fraudulent dealings have affected people in areas such as Thika, Ruiru, Juja, and Ithanga. Many victims have come forward to expose how he deceives unsuspecting buyers, promising them land ownership before disappearing without delivering title deeds.

His fraudulent scheme has left several families in financial ruin, with some losing millions of shillings.Cyprian Nyakundi has played a key role in bringing this matter to the public’s attention.
He shared a message from one of Macharia’s victims, revealing shocking details about how the scam operates.
The fraudster, who is the director of Vuka Land Realtors & Eastlink Shelters, uses aggressive marketing tactics to lure buyers into fake land deals.
He organizes staged site visits, presents forged ownership documents, and convinces victims that the land is legitimate.
However, once payments are made, he vanishes, making it nearly impossible for buyers to recover their money.

Reports indicate that Macharia operates under multiple phone numbers, which he constantly switches off to avoid detection.
His last known residence is in Kasarani, Seasons, but authorities suspect he may be using different identities to evade arrest.
The DCI has urged the public to provide any information that could help locate him.
Victims are encouraged to report to the nearest DCI offices in Juja, Thika, Ruiru, or Kenol. The impact of Macharia’s fraud is devastating. Many victims trusted his company, believing they were making legal land purchases.
Some had spent their life savings, while others had taken loans to buy the land.
Now, they are left stranded with no legal ownership of the property. Frustration is growing among those affected, with some even fearing that Macharia may continue operating under a new name if he is not arrested soon.
Nyakundi’s exposé has put pressure on authorities to act swiftly. The public is calling for his immediate arrest to prevent more people from falling into his trap.
Victims have also demanded that the government tighten regulations in the real estate sector to prevent such fraudulent schemes from thriving.Investigators are now collecting evidence from affected clients, hoping to build a strong case against him.
However, with Macharia constantly changing phone numbers and locations, tracking him down remains a challenge.
The DCI is urging anyone with useful information to come forward and assist in bringing him to justice. As more victims speak out, there is hope that Macharia’s fraudulent empire will finally collapse.
Authorities must ensure that he is held accountable for his actions so that justice is served. Until then, land buyers are advised to be extra cautious and verify all land transactions before making payments.
