Motorists have been urged to exercise caution around the work areas, follow the traffic management plan and directions given by the traffic marshals.

On August 22, a section of Thika Road motorists were stuck in traffic for over two hours on Saturday morning August 22.

Some took to Twitter wondering what had caused the snarl up while others warned fellow motorists to avoid the superhighway at all costs.

The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) had announced that a section of the Thika Superhighway would be closed for five days starting August 21.
