IEBC Drops Muite, PLO & Nyamondi As Lawyers

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has dropped Lawyers Paul Muite, Paul Nyamodi and Patrick ‘PLO’ Lumumba as their counsels in the new Petition.The commission has instead opted to seek the services of new lawyers to represent it in the Supreme Court case challenging the 26th October Generals won by Uhuru Kenyatta and which the NASA flag bearer Rt Hon Raila Odinga boycotted. Two petitioners have filed a case at the supreme court challenging the election of Mr Uhuru Kenyatta.

The new team of lawyers will include Waweru Gatonye (Lead Cousel), Kamau Karori, Eric Gumbo, George Murugu, Wambua Kilonzo, Kimani Muhoro, Mahat Somane and Lucy Kambuni.

Paul Muite, Patrick ‘PLO’ Lumumba and Paul Nyamondi have represented the IEBC in all court cases since the 2013 general election, including during the case challenging the annulled 8th August general election.
