Media personality Cynthia Nyamai has revealed that she made a comeback to TV for a special reason.
Nyamai told Mc Jessy in a televised interview on KTN that the reason for returning to TV job was because it was an interesting offer she couldn’t refuse.
She also spoke about her exit from KTN to ‘politics’ especially in Governments.
” Her mentor was Moses Kuria “Moses Kuria trained me and taught me, ndiye alinishika mkono. I started my consultancy jobs in Nigeria. I started doing work for a big Nigerian politician,, then I went to Tanzania”.she said.
MC Jessy wanted to know if she had it easy or if there were hiccups along the way.
“It’s a man world at the end of the day and you have to learn your way understand your purpose then things flow. A Nigerian CEO katiad me. He told me we are not kids. I told him I wasn’t interested, after what he told me, I felt like I was called a prostitute. He told me if you don’t want sikupatii deal. You go back to your room feeling useless so stupid”she added.
Mc Jessy asked her to advice young girls who may feel like they need to be compromised to get work.
“I had to learnt to be disciplined working with these people”
Nyamai also said that many people felt she should not have left her KTN job because she was at her prime in a media job but revealed she had goals.
“My career took off at KTN. I was one of the senior most at KTN at the peak of my career and decided to leave. In my mind I told myself I will build my brand then I can start my business. I always wanted to be a businesswoman. I was very clear when joining KTN I would stay for five years then exit” she said.she said.
Currently, Nyamai works with the national broadcaster KBC.
