Gachagua exposes Ruto’s secret Maasai Mara meeting to replace 10 Mt. Kenya PSs

Wahome Thuku has now come out to reveal the latest twist in the ongoing political battles involving President William Ruto and former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

According to Thuku, Gachagua has exposed a shocking plan by Ruto that could completely change the political structure of the government. Gachagua claims that Ruto, together with Felix Koskei, the Head of Public Service, spent the weekend in Maasai Mara carefully drafting a new list of Principal Secretaries (PSs).

What has raised eyebrows even further is that Ruto did not attend church, something unusual for him, leading to speculation about his priorities.

Gachagua’s biggest revelation is that President Ruto is planning to drop at least 10 PSs from the Mt. Kenya region. According to him, this move is meant to create room for opposition leader Raila Odinga’s demand for 15 slots in the government.

Gachagua, who was once deeply involved in government negotiations, says that during the formation of Ruto’s administration, he personally secured 15 PS slots for Mt. Kenya leaders.

However, with his removal from office, he argues that the region no longer has a strong representative in the inner circles of government, making it easy for Ruto to push out Mt. Kenya officials.

“I negotiated for 15 slots for our people, but now that I’m out of office, Ruto will easily drop them because no one speaks for them,” Gachagua lamented.

His statement has caused political tensions, especially in the Mt. Kenya region, where leaders fear that losing these positions will weaken the region’s influence in government.

Many are now questioning whether Ruto has abandoned the people who overwhelmingly supported his presidency. This revelation has sparked discussions about Ruto’s true intentions and whether his administration is gradually shifting towards appeasing the opposition.

Some believe that this is a strategy to bring Raila Odinga closer to the government, while others see it as a betrayal of those who stood with Ruto from the beginning. If Gachagua’s claims are true, then Ruto’s government is undergoing a major restructuring, with the opposition seemingly gaining more power in the process.

Wahome Thuku’s report adds weight to Gachagua’s statements, suggesting that insiders have been leaking details of Ruto’s secret plans. This has left many wondering what the future holds for Mt. Kenya leaders who were previously assured of their positions.

If Ruto goes ahead with the removal of the PSs, the region might find itself in a politically weaker position than it was before. With these new political shifts, questions continue to arise about Ruto’s long-term strategy. Is he making these changes to stabilize his government, or is he deliberately sidelining his former allies?

The coming weeks will be crucial in determining whether Gachagua’s warning is accurate and whether Ruto’s leadership is taking a new direction that could alter the country’s political balance.
