Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has accused President William Ruto of orchestrating a scheme to sabotage the burgeoning political alliance between him and Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka.
Speaking on Sunday during a church service at Kirathani Grounds in Murang’a County, the DCP Party leader claimed that there are deliberate plans to create divisions within their coalition.
Gachagua alleged that the strategy involves publicly praising Kalonzo while simultaneously labeling him as “tribal” to convince the Wiper leader to distance himself.
He warned that the plot is expected to be executed during the President’s upcoming development rally in the Ukambani region.
Gachagua cautioned those interfering to keep off their affairs, insisting that his partnership with Kalonzo remains strong and unshakable.
“We know the scheme. They will praise Kalonzo and at the same time tell him we are tribal to create a distance. We are not going to allow that,” Gachagua warned.
He expressed confidence that the Mt Kenya and Ukambani regions will eventually unite politically against President Ruto’s administration.
The event was attended by Kalonzo Musyoka and DP Party leader Justin Muturi, alongside several Members of Parliament from both regions, signaling the growing political ties between the two former allies of the Kenya Kwanza government.
