Sadness and grief filled the home of Nayianoi Ntutu Ngeno, the widow of the late Emurua Dikirr Member of Parliament, Johanna Ngeno, as she was seen for the first time in public since her husband’s tragic death in a helicopter crash.
The heartbroken widow struggled to hold back tears while receiving visitors at their Nairobi residence on March 1, just a day after the fatal accident that claimed her husband’s life.
Johanna Ngeno died on February 28 in a helicopter crash in Mosop, Nandi County, along with five other people, including his personal photographer.

The sudden loss shocked many Kenyans, especially residents of Emurua Dikirr Constituency, where Ngeno was known as a hardworking and devoted leader.
On Sunday, members of Parliament’s funeral committee visited Ngeno’s home to offer condolences and support to the grieving family.
It was during this visit that Nayianoi Ntutu Ngeno was seen publicly, appearing visibly shaken but managing to welcome the visitors who had come to console her.
Photos and videos shared online captured her in tears, receiving leaders, friends, and well-wishers.
The scenes were filled with emotion as visitors tried to comfort her, praying for strength and courage during this extremely difficult time.
Leaders present described Johanna Ngeno as a passionate MP who cared deeply about his constituents and loved his family dearly.
Kenyans on social media also shared their sympathy, sending messages of comfort to the young widow.Many praised her strength for facing the public despite her immense grief.
Others expressed sorrow over the loss of a devoted husband, father, and leader, describing Ngeno as someone who was always ready to help his community.
