DCP supporters set for massive march to welcome Rigathi Gachagua from JKIA to CBD

Supporters of the Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) are preparing for a large-scale march in Nairobi to welcome their leader, Rigathi Gachagua, back from the United States.

The party’s Deputy Leader, Cleophas Malala, confirmed that the procession will start at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) and proceed to the Central Business District (CBD) on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at noon, which is the scheduled time of Gachagua’s arrival.

Malala urged party members and the public to be at JKIA from 8:00 a.m. to ensure a smooth and orderly reception. He said the party is committed to maintaining security throughout the march and warned against any attempts to disrupt the gathering.

According to him, the event will be a peaceful show of support for Gachagua, reflecting the party’s strength and organization.In addition to local supporters, Malala noted that people from different regions of Kenya, including Teso land and Luo land, are expected to attend the gathering.

To manage the large turnout, the party has made arrangements to coordinate the arrival of all supporters and maintain order during the procession.

He emphasized the importance of planning to make sure that everyone can participate safely and efficiently.

He said that the letter sent to the police was part of the party’s commitment to lawfulness and proper organization.
