Beware: Morning Robberies on the rise in the following Nairobi estates

At least one jogger is attacked, his or her valuables snatched every day in Nairobi. As the Coronavirus pandemic is still roaring in the city, robbers have taken the advantage of this to time Kenyans who are doing the morning and evening runs to keep fit.

Not a single place in Nairobi has been left have been left out of this rising vice. Last week, two robbers who were armed with knives stacked joggers at the bypass in Ridgeways luckily, other morning runners emerged and they were beaten beyond recognition.

That’s not different with what happened on Thursday this week along Koitobos road in Karen where three robbers driving Toyota Fortuneer of registration number KCM 614L robbed a jogger his valuables at pistol point.

“Just been robbed while jogging, Vehicle no KCM 614L, Toyota Fortuner 3 guys with Pistols along Koitobos Road in Karen. Beware guys, Took Phones and Wedding Ring. Thanking God we are safe at least.” Huzefa Amirali tweeted.

According to tweeter user @LearningRaena, “This car passed me along Marula lane on the hill and they were driving slowly.there were many people walking in the area. It was around 6:45am . As I continued running on past Hemingway’s and into mbagathi lane, I met a white lady who was so scared as she had just been robbed.”

A similar incident was reported in Muthangari road, Westlands.

“Same thing happened to me yesterday (may 6) at 6:30 pm on muthangari drive in Westlands. Same make and model of car, but didn’t get plate #. 3 guys with pistol. Only took my phone. Scary but could have been worse. Glad you’re okay!” Maggie Delorme replied.

Similar incidences are said to be on the rise in Karen and Langata areas.

Such incidences have been reported in areas of Utawala, Loresho, brookside, spring valley and Kyuna.
