The aircraft, coded ENIGMA01, touched down at 7:20 am under heavy security. As it landed, a military water salute honored Raila for the final time, symbolizing his last journey home to the region that adored him deeply.
Military officers lined up in formation to receive the casket, preparing for its transfer to Mamboleo Stadium, which has been set aside for public viewing.

According to his wishes, Raila will be laid to rest within 72 hours of his passing, a reflection of his lifelong simplicity and humility.
Raila Odinga passed away in India on October 13, 2025, where he had gone for treatment. His family revealed that he was expected to return home alive, which made the loss even more painful for millions of Kenyans who viewed him as a constant presence in the country’s political journey.
His body arrived in Kenya on Thursday and was received at JKIA by President William Ruto and Mama Ida Odinga before being honored at a State Funeral at Nyayo National Stadium.
