Ambassador Martin Kimani, a highly respected Kenyan diplomat, has officially stepped down as the Executive Director of the New York University Center on International Cooperation (CIC).
Dr. Kimani, who took over the leadership of the institution in June 2024, leaves behind an impressive legacy of promoting global peace and fostering cooperation among nations.
His work at CIC was widely regarded as instrumental in addressing some of the world’s most pressing challenges, such as climate change, violent extremism, and poverty.

His efforts in promoting counterterrorism initiatives and sustainable development gained him widespread recognition.
His contributions were honored by Kenya’s government, awarding him the prestigious Chief of the Order of the Burning Spear (CBS).
